Minakshi Goswami plays the female lead in the film produced by Kalipu Madhu, who’d backed Rangamarthanda

Actor Sumanth and director Santosh Jagarlapudi, who teamed up for a gripping mystical thriller Subrahmanyapuram in 2018, are reuniting for another film. Interestingly, their next collaboration will also belong to the same genre and will feature Minakshi Goswami as the female lead. Vennela Kishore will also be playing a key role in the project that was officially announced today.
Kalipu Madhu of Raja Shyamala Entertainments, who’d backed the critically acclaimed family drama Rangamarthanda this year, is bankrolling the film. Anup Rubens has come on board as the music director. Naresh K Rana, the cinematographer who worked on films like Romantic, Commitment and Parichayam, cranks the camera for the thriller.

Music by @anuprubens. Directed by #SantoshJagarlapudi,” the production house said today. As revealed in theirstatement, the shoot will formally commence in Varanasi on June 19.
A sepia-tinted poster suggests that the film will unfold amidst the backdrop of a temple and there’s a motif of a bull that contributes to your curiosity. Sathya Rushi, K Kiran Kumar, Kishore Lanka, Rooma Jain are also part of the crew. Minakshi Goswami in a social media statement already shared that she would be teaming up with Sumanth for a film titled Vaaraahi this January (the producer has now changed).
Karthikeya 2 and Virupaksha are mystical thrillers that won over audiences across multiple languages in the recent months. Santossh Jagarlapudi last directed the sports drama Lakshya, starring Naga Shaurya, Ketika Sharma (streaming on aha) while Sumanth was part of Dhanush’s blockbuster Sir, directed by Venky Atluri, in a special appearance (streaming on Netflix).
