Sukanya Girish bags a new film as leading lady, called Bhairava

Young actress Sukanya Girish is slowly and steadily making her presence felt in Kannada cinema. The actress, who has done cameos in Ramesh Aravind’s Shivaji Surathkal: Ranagiri Rahasya and 100, is set to make her debut as leading lady with Kailasa Kasidre, a rom-com with a thriller element, in which she is paired with Vybhav of Tarakasura fame.

She was later signed up by director Shashank as the second lead in Love 360, which is being shot as Kannada-Telugu bilingual. Sukanya has now bagged yet another film as the leading lady. The actress has been signed up by director Ramtheja for a film called Bhairava, a commercial entertainer with elements of mythology. Ramtheja, who has earlier made the web series’ Psycho and Salt and Pepper, will make his feature film debut with Bhairava. The team is yet to announce the leading man for the film.

Speaking to us earlier, Sukanya had said that she was eagerly awaiting the release of Kailasa Kalidre, considering that her big screen outings so far have been cameos only. The actress is looking forward to having audiences see her in a full-fledged role. At the time, Sukanya had said that the makers were eyeing a Dasara festive release, but there has been no update since. Meanwhile, in Shashank’s Love 360, she plays an arrogant, uptight girl, who brings about quite a few twists in the tale.

While details about Sukanya’s role in Bhairava have not been made public yet, Ramtheja has been quoted as saying that it has a good vs evil story with a period setting as well. The team is looking at revealing the first-look poster in late January, 2022, while shooting will begin from Sankranti, against the backdrop of Kashi.
