After delivering three back-to-back blockbusters with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan is now all set for his next. After a lot of speculations, recent reports now reveal that King Khan has finally locked his next film - King. The action-packed film will also mark the big-screen debut of his daughter Suhana Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan will play a parallel lead to Suhana Khan in King?

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is teaming up with Pathaan director Siddharth Anand on the film which is said to be titled King. Earlier, there were reports that SRK would have a cameo appearance in the film which will be led by Suhana Khan as her big-screen debut. However, the recent development on the project, according to PeepingMoon is that Khan will have a leading role alongside Suhana in the film.

The source told the portal that King has undergone a lot of rewrites in the past few months. "The project was earlier intended to be a mega theatrical debut vehicle for Suhana, with SRK merely playing a cameo, much like he did in Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi," the source was quoted as saying. The report further added that the script has now been changed and it turns out now that Shah Rukh Khan will have a proper lead role with Suhana playing a parallel lead alongside him.

Furthermore, the report revealed that SRK will not be seen as Suhana's father in the film but will be seen as her mentor.

Additionally, it’s revealed that Shah Rukh Khan will not portray Suhana’s father in the film but will instead act as her mentor. He will be shown as a strong character who saves Suhana's character from dangerous situations that she frequently faces.

The pre-production of the film will start in May and the filming is expected to start around August and September. The release of the film is currently planned for the latter half of 2025. However, no official announcement for the same has been made yet.
