For Sudipa Chatterjee, it was a journey of 17 years. Undoubtedly, the audience was used to seeing her every afternoon on the TV in Sudipar Rannaghor. Now, this habit will come to an end by the end of this year. Sudipa, who used to bring one new recipe every day at 5 pm, will end the show. The shooting of the last episode has been completed. Sudipar Rannaghor will be telecast for the last time on December 31.

Is Sudipa feeling sad to change the habit of so many years? Anandabazar Online contacted her and she replied, “Believe me, I have no complaints. Yes, I feel sad. I started from a small room. The success story is getting finished. How can I not be sad? But I will never forget the efforts taken so that I can bid farewell with a smiling face.”

What happened at the shooting? Sudipa’s voice slightly choked. “Kanchanda was invited as the guest so that I do not cry too much and the day is spent with fun and laughter. My nickname is Pinky. Hence I was presented with a beautiful pink flower bouquet. Not only that, I was surprised to enter the floor. It looked like a wedding ceremony. There were plates full of sweets and snacks. There was a pandan outside the floor, serving lots of my favourite dishes – pulao, mutton, prawn malaikari, chutney, papad. The channel gave the treat to almost 180 people. How can I be sad with such a farewell? Obviously, I will miss the shooting, but I will have no complaints.”

The show is replaced by the new reality show of actress Indrani Halder. Did Sudipa have any talk with Indrani? Sudipa said that her mother is sick and hence she was too busy to call Indrani. She said, “I heard Mamonidi sustained a waist injury, but I could not call her. But I have lots of best wishes for her. I am sure the channel took this decision for the greater good in the future.”
