Sudha Kongara's next project is a biopic on Ratan Tata? The acclaimed filmmaker comes up with an update

Filmmaker Sudha Kongara's popularity witnessed a surge post the release of Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya in the lead. The film, which had a direct release on Amazon Prime Video in 2020, was a huge critical success and garnered several recognitions from across the globe.

The movie, which was bankrolled by Suriya himself, was based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan. The director, who confirmed teaming up with Suriya again for a project, joined hands with Akshay Kumar for the remake of Soorarai Pottru which was wrapped up recently. Interestingly, the Tamil actor will be seen playing a cameo in the film's Bollywood version.   

There have been various speculations doing the rounds on Sudha's next outing. It is heard that she will collaborate with Silambarasan for a movie, though an official confirmation is awaited. Hombale Films, the leading Sandalwood production house, which bankrolled KGF franchise and Kantara, has signed her for a film earlier this year.

Movie buffs across the nation are eager to know which project she is going to take up next. Suriya and Dulquer teaming up for a movie under her direction has been another speculation that kept fans thrilled a while ago.

Meanwhile, there was news of her making a biopic on the legendary industrialist Ratan Tata. But Sudha has refuted it as a rumour. She took to her Twitter page to provide a clarification on the same and informed that an update on her next will be announced soon.

The tweet read, "I’m a huge admirer of Mr. Ratan Tata.  However I have no intention of making his biopic at this moment . But thank you all for your interest in my next film! Soon (sic)."
