Shah Rukh Khan and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi's film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa clocked 28 years of release on February 25. The coming-of-age romantic comedy was directed by the late Kundan Shah and also starred Naseeruddin Shah and Deepak Tijori.
Krishnamoorthi recently told Bollywood Hungama that she is "honoured" to be a part of this film, though she did not remember its anniversary.
On working with Shah she said, "On the set, he only made me cry. However, that was his way of driving me and challenging me. It also brought out the vulnerability of the character. I didn’t have the experience to take on the character. In retrospect, I realised that he understood me so well as a person that he was able to bring out a real and vulnerable facet of me, which shows in the character."
She added that he told her she looked the part, but it was her job to make the effort to be the part. Krishnamoorthi said Shah's "understanding of human nature and the trajectory of his characters were unparalleled."
Shah, who passed away in 2017, is known for the cult film Jaane Bhi Do Yaado that won him a National Award, the DD TV show Nukkad and Kya Kehna.
Krishnamoorthi also said that if there ever is a remake of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, she would want her daughter Kaveri to play Anna and Khan's son Aryan to play Sunil.
The actor-singer took to Instagram yesterday and remembered the film.
