Subhash Ghai once announced 'Shikhar' in the 1990s, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie Shroff. The mahurat for the movie was enthusiastically organized in Haryana. Sadly, the film was never made.
The reaseon behind Shikhar getting shelved
Ghai recently discussed the reasons behind the discontinuation of Shikhar in an interview with ANI. "Shikhar had a war backdrop. We had done our mahurat and even recorded a few songs for it. However, we had to shelve the film due to budgetary issues incurred after 'Trimurti' failure..so we thought of making a small film and eventually 'Pardes' happened," he remembered.
