If you are a fan of horror comedies then the upcoming release is just the one you should be waiting for! Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are all set to once again take us to the small town of Chanderi with the sequel to one of the most-loved films 'Stree 2'. The trailer, posters, and songs of the film are out and people are already loving it. As the film is all set to release in theatres soon, here's everything you need to know about it.

Stree 2 Release date

Stree 2 is all set to release in cinemas this Independence Day. The film will clash with two other biggies at the box office - Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa. While Khel Khel Mein stars Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, and Ammy Virk, among others, Vedaa stars John Abraham and Sharvari in the lead roles. Both these films are also set for 15 August release making it a war at the ticket window.

Going by the trailer of the film, Stree 2 promises more twists and turns along with a lot of laughter and spooky events. Not just these, the dialogues of the film, once again, promise to make you go ROFL. The sequel is picking up right where the first one left off. The trailer takes us to the town of Chanderi once again with the locals (the cast) once again on a mission to take another evil called Sarkata and this time with the help of Stree. So, get set for spooky laughs.

Stree 2 Cast and Crew

While our favourite duo Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are coming back with their most-loved characters, the film will once again bring back Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee adding more and more laughter alongside more spookiness. The film will also feature Tamannaah Bhatia for a special song. 

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the sequel is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios. For the uninitiated, Stree 2 is a part of the horror-comedy universe which includes films like Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya.

The film will be released theatrically, allowing audiences to enjoy the film on the big screens. While no specific details regarding the film's availability on Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms have been announced, fans can keep an eye out for potential digital releases or streaming options following the theatrical run.
