Stree 2: Rajkummar Rao is the highest paid actor as Shraddha Kapoor stands second in line with Rs 5 crore - Cast salary revealed

There is so much buzz around the latest Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-led Stree 2 that nothing else is getting the limelight at the moment. The movie, a direct sequel to the 2018 film that was also a successful affair, released in theaters on August 15, 2024, and has been a rage at the box office ever since. It was one of the most anticipated movies of the last couple of years, ever since it was announced. Now, as it hits the big screen, fans are obsessing over it in massive numbers, as you can guess from the box office collection. The film, which yesterday passed the ₹100 crore mark in 2 days, is now about to wrap up its first weekend at the box office. But fans are always curious to know how much the cast was paid to play their parts in this groundbreaking film.

Stree 2 Cast Salaries Revealed

It is always a very interesting topic whenever the fees charged by actors for particular projects are revealed. Stree 2 stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee in the front row. The actors have all reprised their recurring roles from the 2018 movie. Now, as per the revealed salaries of the team, Rao is the highest-paid actor on the block, and Abhishek Banerjee is the least. Read on to know everything you should about the same.

According to a report by the Free Press Journal, the highest-paid actor on the team is Rajkummar Rao, who plays Vicky in the film. The actor was paid ₹6 crore to reprise his role as the Ladies' tailor. The versatile actor has become synonymous with the role. The second in line is Shraddha Kapoor, who got paid ₹5 crore. Her getting paid nearly on par with Rajkummar is indeed a good thing to witness, and considering the big mystery around her, it makes all the sense.

Pankaj Tripathi is third in line for playing a paranologist and bookshop owner, Rudra. The actor has been paid ₹3 crore for his performance in the film. The next two actors are Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, who both have a seven-digit fee. While Khurana charged ₹70 lakh, Banerjee got ₹55 lakh to reprise his part. Both were also a part of the first film. Varun Dhawan also makes a special appearance as Bhediya in the movie, and reports claim he charged ₹2 crore for the same.

Stree 2 Box Office So Far

Stree 2, according to Sacnilk, has managed to regain its momentum on Day 3 after witnessing a drop on Day 2, which happened to be a working day between the long weekend. The movie managed to bring in another ₹44 crore on Saturday, which was the third day after its release. The total box office collection of the movie now stands at a staggering ₹135.7 crore. This means Stree 2 is now busy running towards the ₹150 crore mark.

Stree 2 also enjoyed an extra run-up to the release as it was opened for paid previews on Wednesday night itself. The paid previews added ₹8.5 crore to the already hefty collection of the movie. It managed to earn ₹51.8 crore on day one, followed by ₹31.4 crore on day 2, and now ₹44 crore on day three. This means the movie is moving at a good pace and needs to retain it for some more time at least.
