It's here! The wait is finally over for Stree 2's OTT release. But, alas, not all subscribers... Prime Video has released the highly anticipated horror comedy of 2024, exclusively for rent on their platform. Yes, for Rs. 349, you can rent Stree 2 and watch the film within 48 years after you hit the play. However, subscribers need not worry. Stree 2 will start streaming for Prime Video users in two weeks, that is, on the occasion of Dussehra 2024, on October 11, 2024.
Stree 2 plot synopsis
In Stree 2, the events of Stree lead to Chanderi's ongoing torment. This time, a terrible, headless monster abducts women for unknown reasons. The fate of their town and loved ones rests once more on Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his companions' shoulders.
Stree 2 cast and heroic mission
Maddock Films and Jio Studios produce Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, with Amar Kaushik directing and Niren Bhatt writing the screenplay. It follows on the heels of Stree (2018) and is the fifth entry in Maddock's Supernatural Universe. Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana are among the film's stars. In order to rescue the women of Chanderi, our heroes must vanquish a wicked monster.
Stree 2 was well-received by critics upon its global theatrical premiere on August 15, 2024. Worldwide, the film has earned more than ₹851.03 crores, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024 and the second-highest-grossing Indian film of all time. It is also the seventh-highest grossing Hindi film.

Rao told News18 that the overwhelming positive reception that Stree received gave them confidence that this film will be well-received. Like many others, he is a huge admirer of Stree.
