In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Amar Kaushik shared, “The casting team found him (Sunil Kumar). We wanted a man with such a height and he fit the bill.”
The director further added that they used his body shots while the face of Sarkata was generated through CGI.

The film secured Rs. 37 crores on its fifth day and made a total collection of Rs. 228.45 crores till now. According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 has become one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time within just five days.
