While Hollywood is still busy finding a middle ground where the actors are on strike and the production houses will find a standard solution that benefits both parties, many shows and movies have already suffered the brunt of the heat. One of the shows that has been delayed for a long time is Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5, led by Millie Bobby Brown. The final season of the show was midway through production when the strikes brought things to a standstill.
But it seems like the show's writers are in no mood to let the buzz fade, as they have now marked the annual Stranger Things Day Celebration with an exciting surprise. They have now given us a sneak peek into the fifth and final seasons with their latest post. Read on to learn more about the same.
As per the latest post on X (formerly called Twitter), through the common handle Stranger Writers, the team has shared a screengrab of the script that features the opening scene of Stranger Things Season 5. The post is going viral on the internet, and the fans are already busy decoding what the scene means and where it is set.

The post by the writers of Stranger Things Season 5 included a screengrab that read, “Darkness. The sound of COLD WIND, GROANING TREES, And… A CHILD’S VOICE, Singing a familiar song.” They shared the same with a caption that read, “Season 5. Chapter 1. Scene 1.” Now, what is interesting is that the script hints that the opening is at some dark place, and that could be the Upside Down. But what is also mysterious is the child’s voice, which hints that it could also be a flashback.
While we have already learned that Stranger Things Season 5 is not releasing anytime soon, and the wait is much longer than we were prepared for, the makers have recently announced a prequel to the show titled Stranger Things: The First Shadow. It is said that the prequel will be set in Hawkins in the 1950s and will explore the time after Henry Creel’s arrival. It will also feature young versions of Joyce, Hopper, and Bob, played by Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Sean Astin, respectively. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
