Max was introduced to the Stranger Things universe in Season 2 as a gamer who unknowingly found herself entangled in the horrors of Hawkins. She quickly became a pivotal character, and in the last season, she was Vecna’s primary target. In the finale, we saw her severely wounded, leading many to believe this could be the last we’d see of her. But according to Screen Rant, Sadie Sink and the Duffer Brothers have now confirmed that Max’s story is far from over.

Sadie Sink, discussing her role in Stranger Things Season 5, said, "They love having me run. That’s all I’ll say." Matt Duffer added, "She’s going to play a part in the season." Ross Duffer chimed in, "But we don’t want to reveal how that’s possible." To which Matt Duffer responded, "Right, because she’s in a coma. I think she’s grown more confident as an actor and in her choices. We filmed a scene the other day with her that was just absolutely heartbreaking. I don’t know how she hits those notes."
