The world of Stranger Things is about to send fans into a meltdown, as things are about to get very emotional for those who have been with the show for almost a decade by the time season 5 releases on Netflix. The fifth season is one of the most anticipated because it’s the final season, and this “swan song” promises to be massive. The team has been shooting for the final season for a while now, and it was recently revealed they are in the last stages of filming. Goodbyes have already begun, as Noah Schnapp recently confirmed in a video that he filmed his last scene at the Castle Byers set, and emotions are running high.

Noah Schnapp Says Goodbye to Castle Byers

In case you don’t recall, Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp, built a castle with his brother Jonathan in the first season. When he was sucked into the Upside Down, he hid from the Demogorgon in a replica of the castle in that eerie world. This “Castle Byers” holds significant relevance to the show, especially since the Duffer Brothers have confirmed that Stranger Things Season 5 will mirror season 1, making it even more important.

An account on X named Ross Duffer recently shared a video of Noah Schnapp shooting his final scene at the Castle Byers set, marking an emotional moment. “Saying goodbye to a piece of Stranger Things history this ST day, passing the phone to the one and only Noah for a proper send-off #StrangerThings5,” Ross wrote in the video’s caption.

In the video, Noah Schnapp strolls through the Castle Byers set one last time and says, "It's kind of sentimental because I started in this exact tent when I was 10 years old, and now, 10 years later, I'm turning 20. So, it's sad to say goodbye. I remember filming here with Winona when I was like 10 or 11 years old. This was one of the first places that I ever shot, and it's like home to me."

About Stranger Things Season 5

Stranger Things Season 5 has now moved to a bigger, bolder, and more dangerous canvas. With the Russians now entering the game, Vecna having a body, and Will feeling its presence again, there’s immense curiosity about what happens next. Season 5 will be the final season of the show and the last time we’ll see the gang together. It stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder in leading roles.

The teaser shared yesterday by Netflix confirmed the episode count and titles for the final season. They are as follows: Episode 1: "The Crawl," Episode 2: "The Vanishing of …," Episode 3: "The Turnbow Trap," Episode 4: "Sorcerer," Episode 5: "Shock Jock," Episode 6: "Escape from Camazotz," Episode 7: "The Bridge," and Episode 8: "The Rightside Up." The teaser also confirms that Stranger Things Season 5 will hit Netflix in 2025.
