The anticipation has been especially intense this time. Last night, the Duffer Brothers and Netflix announced that filming for season 5 had wrapped up, evoking an emotional response. Adding to this sentiment is Millie Bobby Brown’s latest heartfelt Instagram post.
Millie Bobby Brown has spent most of her teenage years portraying Eleven on the show. Starting as a child in 2016, she is now a married woman saying her final goodbye to the character in 2024. Her journey with Stranger Things has been transformative, and it’s impossible to imagine anyone else in the role. In a poignant Instagram post, she shared memories from the set, leaving fans teary-eyed.
On her Instagram handle, Millie shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from various seasons, including a young Millie preparing for Eleven. The post also featured stills from season 4 and earlier. Captioned “with love, El ❤️,” the post garnered immense love from fans.
As per Tudum and Instagram posts by Netflix and the Duffer Brothers, filming for Stranger Things Season 5 has wrapped, moving the show into its final phase of post-production. In a heartfelt message, the Duffer Brothers reflected on the show’s significance, emphasizing how many have grown alongside it.
“We’ve been telling this story for nearly a decade now. Many of our cast members joined us when they were kids, just ten or eleven years old. It wasn’t just a show for them—it was a defining part of their childhood. They’ve grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they’ve become family. But it’s not just the cast we consider family,” the Duffer Brothers shared, alongside the logo for season 5 and other stills.
“Our crew, many of whom have been with us from the very beginning, holds a special place in our hearts. Their dedication and passion have been the backbone of this journey. Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. They poured their hearts and souls into it, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished. We can’t wait to share it with you all next year. Until then—over and out,” they added.
Set to release in 2025, the season will feature the return of its beloved cast members alongside new additions, including Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton. While Linda’s role remains under wraps, fans are excited about her involvement.
