Star Trek: Discovery season 4 trailer: Burnham takes charge to save the galaxies from an unknown anomaly

Star Trek: Discovery is back with another season. The makers have finally unveiled the first trailer of the upcoming series, which was officially announced for Season 4 last year in November. The latest season will pick up where it left off in the season three finale. Captain Saru resigned from all his duties of the Discovery to be back to his homeworld of Kaminar and left Michael Burnham on the Captain’s chair.

The latest trailer shows the new captain struggling with her new job. Burnham, at first can be seen unconscious, while later she takes the charge to save everyone from an unknown threat and says, “Today we seek to understand threat like non our galaxy has faced before.” Most of the captains from different galaxies can be seen threatened by the same as well. After taking one of the toughest decisions, the woman in charge says, “There’s is so much at stake- countless lives, futures, once we enter the anomaly. We are going where no one has gone before. Wherever we come from, whatever our experience is, we’re all in this together." She encourages everyone on the ship as well. 

Paramount+ shared the new trailer through its Instagram handle and captioned, “Let's fly to Season 4.

Stream #StarTrekDiscovery November 18, exclusively on #ParamountPlus (sic).”

Meanwhile, earlier this year in August, actor Doug Jones, who is portraying the character of Captain Saru informed the fans about completing the shoot of the upcoming season. Jones’ Instagram post featured his shirtless image and captioned, “That’s a wrap on @startrek Discovery season 4 filming!!!

Thank you for everything, Toronto, but I must fly away now!! (sic)”

Backed by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, the forthcoming season of the Pramount+ original series stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Tig Notaro, Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, David Ajala, Blu del Barrio and Ian Alexander in pivotal roles.

Star Trek: Discovery season 4 is all set to release on November 18.
