Star Jalsha’s Tomader Rani comes to an end

Tomader Rani is going to end ten months after starting its journey. There were hints on Thursday morning that the serial, starring Abhika Malakar and Arkaprovo Roy in the lead roles, could end. On Friday, Star Jalsha announced that the new serial Tentulpata would be telecast at the 6 PM slot on August 5. 

After Tnetulpata's promo came out, fans wondered which slot it would take. Now it is known that the serial, starring Gourab Chatterjee and Ritobrota Dey, will replace Tomader Rani. Another serial, Tumi Ase Pashe Thakle, ended, but Star Jalsha said that it would not run any mega in the 5.30 PM slot. 

Abhika, in a sad tone, also confirmed the news from the set. She said 'Yes, the news is correct. We came to know of it a few days back. But I don't yet know when the last day of the shooting will be.' 

Abhika became sentimental, 'I enjoyed the journey immensely. This is my debut and I learnt a lot. Everyone in the set helped and supported me. Maybe that much was Rani's journey...(pauses)...But I will work more in the future. I will miss Rani. Becoming a strong and progressive girl like her taught me a lot. Rani is wonderful, and whatever she did for her family will be remembered. I hope people will also remember her.' 

On the other hand, Tnetulpata's promo showed the runaway bride Jhilli. She refuses to marry the bride chosen by her father. She meets Rishi, the grave and taciturn boy, on the train. Rishi's family will see Jhilli and assume that Rishi got married. The promo reminded many people of Shahid-Kareena's hit film Jab We Met.
