SRK vs SRK: Will Jawan break Pathaan’s Box Office opening record? Here’s what the buzz suggests

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is slated to release in theatres soon. The movie’s advance bookings received a tremendous response. Will it be able to beat his previous film Pathaan though? Jawan could find bigger success than Pathaan

Jawan’s tickets were sold out within 15 minutes. During the advance booking window, the shows got houseful and there were no more tickets available. To top it up, people booked tickets for as much as Rs. 1100 too. This just goes on to suggest that Jawan is likely to break Pathaan’s opening Box Office record.

Activities around Jawan

The fan activities are at an all-time high. There are events in Chennai, Hyderabad as well as Dubai this time around. Apart from that, Jawan will be the first Indian movie to be screened in Germany in 125x72 feet.

Higher screens could mean success

Pathaan had released in approximately 5,000 screens across the globe. Jawan, on the other hand, has already crossed the number and will release in over 5,500 screens.

This could mean that the business for the film will be at an all-time high. It could earn around Rs. 800-1200 crores at the Box Office. Even 80% of the expected Box Office will make Jawan a big hit. Pathaan had earned Rs. 1040 crores at the Box Office, thus becoming the highest grossing film of the year.

Jawan, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and co-produced by Gaurav Verma, will be out in theatres on September 7. Helmed by Atlee, it will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The movie also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone is seen in a special appearance in the movie.

The film sees SRK in a double role – an intelligence officer and a thief. Sanya and Priyamani are seen as a part of his team (of thieves). Jawan is also special because it is the first collaboration between Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan. The movie has many firsts including Nayanthara, SRK and Vijay Sethupathi working with one another for the first time.
