Sritama Mitra makes an exit from Mon Dite Chai

Actress Sritama Mitra makes an exit from her serial Mon Dite Chai on Zee Bangla. The serial that streams on Zee 5 will continue without her. However, there is a twist. Doyel, not Titir, will be murdered by Malini Banerjee. 

The audience already saw that Doyel was hurt by Malini. Sritama confirmed the news of her leaving the show. In an interview with Hindustan Times Bangla, she said, “Yes, I am leaving the show. But the serial will go on.” She became emotional while talking about her journey. She said, “It was a wonderful journey. Doel is a soft person. I previously played a negative role. Then Doel came, a positive person, rare nowadays. We all have grey shades, but Doel silently bears everything people tell her.” 

Sritama previously played Aliah in the serial Uma. She also acted in popular serials like Ki Kore Toke Bolbo and Pandab Goenda. Who will she miss after leaving the show? Sritama smilingly said, “I will miss the entire team. Our team members are wonderful. This journey of one and a half years was memorable.”

Does she feel bad? Sritama said, “There is some sadness, of course. Every character is like a child to the actors. I brought up Doyel. I started knowing Doyel and made her grow from the first day. We shoot for fourteen hours. For the majority of the time, Doyel stays in my head. I feel like when a person who stayed with you for a long time suddenly leaves. The character is my kid. I will miss her immensely.” 

During the Holi celebration, Malini tried to murder Titir with a piece of brick. But it was later seen that Malini hurt Doyel instead of Titir. Doyel was seen soaked in blood. The news is not public yet. Titir and her family are searching for their missing sister. Will Doyel die, or will there be a twist? It is not clear yet. But Sritama will not be in the serial.
