Srikanth box office collection day 5 - Rajkummar Rao's latest film, based on industrialist Srikanth Bolla's life, hit the big screen on May 10, 2024. The film opened to positive feedback from the critics and audiences alike. However, Srikanth wasn't off to a flying start at the box office. On day one, the film earned around Rs 2 crore, followed by an upward trend on days two and three. The Tushar Hiranandani directorial further witnessed a drop on day four, but held its ground the next day.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Rajkummar Rao's Srikanth collected Rs 1.65 crore at the box office on day five. Considering the same, the total box office collection of the film comes close to Rs 15 crore. If Tushar Hiranandani's film grows with word-of-mouth, there are chances that Srikanth might see an upward trend further at the ticket window.
For the uninitiated, Srikanth is the biographical drama of Srikanth Bolla, who founded Bollant Industries at a young age. He was rejected by the top Indian institutes because of his visual impairment. However, Bolla later studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In an interview with Firstpost, Rajkummar Rao said he met Srikanth in real life because he had to portray his life on the big screen.
"As an actor, it was my responsibility and job to take anything I can from him and portray it on screen. So, I spent hours with him, talking about his life and experiences, trying to understand his body language and facial movements. Because before meeting him, I didn’t have any references otherwise. I also visited blind schools to get a taste of how visually impaired people behave," he said.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Srikanth will soon head for its digital premiere. Once the theatrical run of Rajkummar's film ends, the movie will drop on Netflix. Usually, it takes 45 to 60 days for a movie to premiere on OTT after the theatrical release.
