Actor Srii Murali has geared up to don yet another "roaring" avatar with Bagheera. The upcoming commercial entertainer has been produced by KGF makers Hombale Films with Prashanth Neel himself penning the story. According to the latest reports, the entire team will be kicking things off with a special muhurtha ceremony on May 20 and officially launch the film.
The same reports also reveal that Bagheera will go on floors sometime this month with a small shooting schedule. The film is being directed by Dr. Suri of 'Lucky' fame (starring Yash and Ramya) and Srii Murali will be seen playing a rugged and intense cop in it - the first look poster, which was released several months ago, came with the tagline "When the society becomes a jungle... And one predator roars for justice" to suggest that all the fans have another super exciting action entertainer in store.
The main draw of Bagheera, however, will be Prashanth Neel's story. Neel, as many would recall, began his filmmaking journey with Srii Murali on 'Ugramm' and the 2014 film has only grown in stature over time, lending another modern Kannada cult hit to the fans. Srii Murali, in the same report, stated that he is very keen and motivated to execute Prashanth Neel's grand vision and bring it to life in the best way possible. The whole team of Bagheera, he adds, has been striving hard for two years to prep for the film.
Dr. Suri, who has written the screeplay of Bagheera, was earlier slated to work with Srii Murali on film based on a boxing subject (reportedly). Murali also stated that he trusts Suri's vision for the film and the whole team, much like him, is raring to go on floors and make every proud. Bagheera will be a multilingual release.
