Sridevi Shoban Babu teaser: Santosh Shoban and Gouri G Kishan in a wacky mass entertainer

Santosh Shoban, who has impressed audiences with a flurry of fine performances in Ek Mini Katha, The Baker and the Beauty and Manchi Rojulochaie, will now be seen in an out-and-out massy avatar in his next, Sridevi Shoban Babu. 96, Jaanu fame actress Gouri G Kishan will be making her debut as a lead in the film. Written and directed by Prasanth Kumar Dimmala, the entertainer is produced by Sushmita Konidela and Vishnu Prasad under Gold Box Entertainments. The film's teaser was launched amid the presence of its team, media in Hyderabad yesterday.

The 48-second long teaser doesn't tell us a lot about the film but conveys enough that it is set in a full-on massy space and has quirky characterisation for its lead cast. The teaser is cut like a radio announcement, where the production house, male and female leads, supporting actors are introduced one after the other. While Santosh Shoban appears all energetic in a rustic look, donning a lungi, his female counterpart is seen as a headstrong, arrogant girl, who even rips a man apart.

Naga Babu and Rohini are introduced as the supporting cast later while the leading lady in the later part of the teaser also tells that she's the propreitor of the house. The film has given an interesting twist to the rich girl-poor boy template and both the lead actors are cast in roles they haven't taken up before and the teaser looks refreshing for the same reason. Siddarth Ramaswamy has cranked the camera for the film which has music by Kamran. Sushmita Konidela is also the film's costume designer while Dattatreya is the art director.

Sudheer Kumar Kurru is the co-director of the project. Polaki Vijay has choreographed the dance sequences in the film. Saranya Potla is the executive producer. Sridevi Shoban Babu's release date is yet to be announced.
