The world-renowned Squid Game has formally established its own regulations. They have greenlit a third and final season of the thriller.
In 2021, Squid Game debuted, introducing viewers to a deadly game that lures contestants with the allure of a monetary prize of 45.6 billion won. Lee Jung-jae portrays Seong Gi-hun, a beleaguered father, who succumbs to forces beyond his comprehension within the game. Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), an enigmatic character who assists with game management, is one of those puppet masters. Squid Game's eagerly awaited second season will premiere on December 26, and the recently confirmed third season will conclude this captivating saga.
Writer, director, and executive producer of the series Hwang Dong-hyuk broke the news to fans in a heartfelt letter. He expressed his immense excitement in a letter, sharing the announcement of Season 2's release date and details about Season 3, the last season. Next year, viewers will be able to witness the series finale of Season 3, in which the violent conflict between Gi-hun and Front Man's respective realms will go on.
Season 3 of Squid Game will continue in the same high-octane vein as its predecessors, as hinted at in Hwang's letter. The filmmaker makes a passing reference to Front Man's status as a formidable adversary and Gi-hun's surprising promise of vengeance on the game in Season 1.
Hwang expressed his joy at seeing the new Squid Game develop and yield rewards by the story's end. They will make every effort to deliver another thrilling experience to their players.
