The much-awaited second season of the series Squid Game is back. The South Korean dystopian survival thriller television series is developed by Korean writer and television producer Hwang Dong-hyuk. It is set to release on December 26, 2024. The season is produced by Netflix. The makers have released a new teaser of the 2nd season and Lee Jung-jae’s Seong Gi-hun looks intense as he returns to stop the menace.
On October 31, Netflix dropped the much-anticipated teaser of Squid Game 2. The teaser shows Seong Gi-hun playing Red Light, and Green Light with a new bunch of contestants as he returns to start a rebellion to stop the menace. The contestants can exit the game if they wish to, but Seong Gi-hun won’t be able to convince many to choose that path. The organizers of the Games, who watch the contestants' every move, are on his side as he tries to start a rebellion.

According to the official Season 2 synopsis, three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and came back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun returns to the mysterious survival game, starting a new life-or-death competition for the 45.6 billion won prize with new players.
