The official synopsis of Squid Game 2 reads, "Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won."
The trailer of Squid Game 2 unveiled deadly new games for player 456. It shows player 456 and co. fight off guards and try to survive new, deadly challenges. Lee Jung-jae's Seong Gi-hun has returned, and he's fighting the mysterious Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) in a heated confrontation. In each subsequent game, the stakes get higher, and eventually, Gi-hun's goal to finish the game becomes more important.
