Garry Bh, one of the many prominent editors in Telugu cinema is wielding the megaphone for the first time with the action thriller Spy. The film that has been in the making for over a year on a huge scale is set for a release in multiple languages soon. The thriller offers viewers a dose of intense emotions, hard-hitting action, romance backed by a pulsating music score.
Cast - A fine mix of talents across industries
Nikhil Siddhartha headlines the film while Iswarya Menon and Sanya Thakur play the female leads. Abhinav Gomatam, Aryan Rajesh, Sachin Khedekar, Makarand Deshpande, Nitiin Mehta essay other important roles in the thriller.
A powerful, action-packed trailer
The trailer did everything to pique our interest. While the protagonist is entrusted with the responsibility of finding a terrorist, he has on-boarded the mission for a personal reason - to find the reason behind the mysterious death of his brother Subhash Vardhan. In the course of the mission, he’s on a globe-trotting spree, discovering secrets, chased by enemies and knowing the reason behind the cover-up surrounding Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s death.
Story with the right commercial ingredients
The team couldn’t have picked a better theme for a pan-Indian film than a story revolving around Subhash Chandra Bose’s death - which remains a mystery to date. There’s a right mix of romance, personal motive, national interest and high-voltage action that has been seamlessly weaved into the screenplay. The film promises to offer a thriller full of solid twists and turns.
Budget
While the budget of the film hasn’t been disclosed by the makers, Spy is expected to have been made approximately within Rs 20-30 crores.
Behind the scenes
No making video/footage of Spy has been released yet but it is believed that it was shot across Hyderabad, Kochi and select locations in Jordan under challenging conditions. Extensive VFX, CGI work was quite evident in the trailer.
OTT platform
Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of Spy across five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada and will premiere the film in the second of July or early August.
Release date
Spy will be releasing worldwide across theatres in all five languages on June 29 on a grand scale.

K Rajashekhar Reddy has produced the film under ED Entertainments and has written the story as well. The film is edited by Garry BH. Sricharan Pakala and Vishal Chandrashekhar have scored the music for thriller. Anirudh Krishnamurthy has written the dialogues and Arjun Surisetty is the art director. Vamshi Patchipulusu, Mark David have cranked the camera for the same. Arjun Surisetty and Ravi Anthony are the art director and production designer.
