The Marvel Cinematic Universe is right now doing all it can to retain the momentum, and these new rumours are all the proofs you want.
MCU Rumour Roundup

The chaos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is of the good kind right now, and even the studio seems to be enjoying it. Deadpool & Wolverine has already surpassed the $1 billion mark and is expected to rake in around $1.4 billion by the end of its theatrical run. There's buzz that it will be available for purchase on streaming within a fortnight. Adding to the frenzy, the first two episodes of Agatha All Along premiered this week, and fans are obsessing over them because they take the MCU in a completely new direction. Whether that’s a good or bad thing will become clearer on October 25, 2024, when the season wraps up. Meanwhile, the bosses are also busy reshaping everything from films to shows, including Spider-Man 4, which has been surrounded by plenty of rumors.
In recent weeks, we've heard so much about Agatha All Along, Spider-Man 4, and other confirmed and unconfirmed MCU projects that it's hard to know what to believe. Some say Henry Cavill will return for an X-Men movie, while others claim Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine won’t be involved. There are even reports suggesting Spider-Man 4 will feature Knull as the main villain, with Tom Hardy joining Spider-Man to defeat him. And just when we thought we were processing all that, new rumors have already surfaced.
Rumors about the next Spider-Man film are flying around faster than Spider-Man himself. We’ve heard multiple plot ideas, the last of which involved a street-level story with Kingpin as the villain. However, the latest rumor takes Spidey beyond his next solo film and into the broader MCU. According to Daniel Richtman, Kevin Feige and Sony are halfway through working on a deal that would allow Marvel Studios to use Spider-Man in more MCU films, beyond his solo franchise and a few special appearances. This could mean that the web-slinger will play a more pivotal role in future MCU projects.
Agatha All Along is getting rave reviews and is even being called the "gayest Marvel project to date." While Aubrey Plaza is thrilled with that response, saying it was about time, there’s more exciting news. This won’t be her only MCU project. That’s right! There are plans for Aubrey to reprise her role as Rio (her character’s name is yet to be disclosed) in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects after Agatha All Along.
One of the most anticipated shows that hasn't even been confirmed by Marvel executives is Nova. Despite that, fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival. According to recent rumors, the series will focus on the Nova Corps and not just Earth-bound characters like Richard Rider or Sam Alexander. This approach could broaden the scope of the show, giving it a much larger array of characters and stories to explore.
Meanwhile, the third series in the trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues with Agatha All Along is causing quite a buzz. The Vision series is highly anticipated, and the latest update is that its working title, according to Cosmic Circus, is Tin Man. While there’s no immediate connection to draw from this title, it does spark curiosity. Plus, with James Spader set to return as Ultron, expectations are running high for what this series will deliver.
