Tom Holland's film Spider-Man: No Way Home is known to have brought back the movie-going experience amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film became a global blockbuster and collected $1.86 billion at the worldwide box office. It has also become the sixth highest-grossing film in the world.
One of the highlights of the film was that it brought all Spideys together on the same screen. The film also featured Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. Apart from them, it also has Zendaya and Jacob Batalon in pivotal roles.
The film continues to run in many theatres across the globe. The makers had also earlier released the OTT release date of the film but unfortunately for them, and fortunately for the Spider-Man fans, the film was leaked online in HD. The leak happened earlier this week and this has forced Sony to prepone its release date.
The film was earlier scheduled to be released on OTT on March 22 and now, it will make its grand premiere on Vudu on March 15. The DVD release of the movie will be rolled out on April 12. But due to the piracy issue, it is not certain if the makers will prepone the DVD release too.
Much before the release of the movie, it has been subjected to several leaks. The news of the three Spider-Men coming together with the photographs of the three actors together was also leaked and it had gone viral on social media. The actors and the makers managed to keep it a secret and were forced to lie about it until the film was finally released in December last year.
The film has been nominated for Oscars 2022 for the category of Best Visual Effects.
