However, reports have said that Jon Watts will not be associated with the project anymore. The latest rumor, however, talks about an even bigger change. According to the latest scoop from scooper My Time To Shine Hello on X (formerly called Twitter), Marvel Studios is planning to go back to the films that were made about Peter Parker before they took the mantle for one key element. And that key element is the web-slinging abilities. The makers are planning to introduce more dramatic web-slinging abilities to the MCU Spider-Man, very similar to the ones we saw before the MCU trilogy. This means we are going back to the web-slinging vibe of the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield films.
However, there is no confirmation on this, and everything at this point must be taken with a pinch of salt. Considering Spider-Man 4 is reportedly moving towards exploring Tom Holland’s Peter Parker’s loneliness and how he copes with it, adding more drama to the visuals only makes more sense as he is no longer the vibrant neighborhood superhero learning the ways of being one.
