The way Spider-Man 4 is being discussed in pop culture is enough to tell you the excitement that is attached to the movie that comes after Spider-Man: No Way Home, which turned out to be a massive box office success for both Marvel Studios and Sony. Over time, the fourth standalone Spidey movie has become one of the most anticipated films, and there have been countless rumors about the same. While some have been major and made headlines, the one today brings us a second possible name for the movie after the last one that suggested the film might be named Spider-Man: King In Black, which was in reference to Knull, who was introduced in Venom: The Last Dance. However, a new scoop now has revealed a possible plot for the film and also a new name.
As per the latest Production Weekly listing, which has also turned out to be just a hoax in the past, Spider-Man 4 might be titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While Destin Daniel Cretton is the director of the film, Andrew Garfield, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, and more have been listed under the cast. The synopsis, however, is even more interesting, considering the mystery behind whether the movie will be a street-level story or a multiverse-level story is very rampant and talked about.
The synopsis for Spider-Man 4 reads, "Following the events of Doomsday, Peter Parker is determined to lead a normal life and focus on college, stepping back from his responsibilities as Spider-Man. However, peace is short-lived when a deadly new threat emerges, endangering his friends and forcing Peter to reconsider his promise. With stakes higher than ever, Peter reluctantly returns to his Spider-Man identity and finds himself teaming up with an unlikely ally to protect those he loves."

Tom Holland appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While the conversation ranged between a lot of topics, there was no way Fallon was not going to quiz Tom about Spider-Man 4 because who wouldn't? As expected, the host brought up the topic of the fourth standalone MCU film and asked whether rumors pointed at it happening. Holland chuckled at the question and asked Fallon, "What do you want to know?"
Jimmy Fallon then asked Tom Holland to confirm the news of Spider-Man 4, and Tom went on to reveal when he begins shooting for it too. He said, "It's happening." Fallon embraced him at this point, and Holland added, "Yeah, next summer—next summer we start shooting, everything's good to go, we're nearly there, super exciting. I can't wait."
This means Tom Holland will be seen in Avengers: Doomsday on May 1, 2026, in Christopher Nolan's untitled movie on July 17, 2026, exactly a week before the untitled Spider-Man 4 movie lands on the big screen on July 24, 2026. If the shooting schedules for all the movies go smoothly, 2026 is Tom Holland's year, and there is no doubt about that. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
