Spark, the multilingual action thriller, marks the newcomer Vikranth’s debut as an actor, writer (and partly as a director). Mehreen Pirzada and Rukshar Dhillon play the female leads in the film produced by Leela Reddy under Deaf Frog Productions. Minnal Murali’s antagonist Guru Somasundaram enters Telugu cinema with Spark, whose trailer was launched today.

The trailer begins with a voice-over about how dreams actually come true. The protagonist is introduced as a 20s-something youngster in a boy-next-door avatar. While Mehreen is confident about making him fall for her, the man is after another girl (played by Rukshar). Meanwhile, the cops are after a criminal who’s the mastermind behind a series of killings in the city.

Later in the glimpse, we’re told how the pivotal character isn’t what he appears to be and his true identity wreaks havoc on his relationships. We’re later introduced to the cool-and-calculated antagonist, whose intentions are kept under wraps. He plants a bomb in a building too and goes about his life as if nothing could affect him. Vennela Kishore, Satya provide comical relief in a serious tale.

A R Ashok Kumar is now credited as the cinematographer. Umarji Anuradha, Vikranth Reddy, Mahesh, Thottempudi Swamy wrote the dialogues for the film while Prawin Pudi is the editor.
