Sorgavaasal OTT release date: Here’s when and where to watch RJ Balaji’s prison drama

Sorgavaasal, the prison drama film directed by newcomer Sidharth Vishwanth, had its theatrical release on November 29, 2024. RJ Balaji, the multi-faceted talent played the lead role in the film, which received mixed reviews from the audiences and critics, and emerged as an average grosser at the box office. As reported earlier, Sorgavaasal is all set to have its OTT release on Netflix by the final week of December 2024.

Sorgavaasal OTT release date is out

As per the latest updates, Sorgavaasal is gearing up to have its OTT release on Netflix, on December 27, 2024. The Sidharth Vishwanath directorial is expected to have its streaming debut on the popular platform, at midnight on Friday, December 27. If the reports are to be believed, the RJ Balaji starrer will be available for streaming on the platform in five languages, including the original Tamil version, along with Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. An official announcement on the same is expected to be released soon.

Sorgavaasal: Plot, cast, and crew

The Sidharth Vishwanth directorial revolves around a small eatery owner Parthiban who is wrongly accused of murdering a high-ranking officer. After getting remanded he is moved to a prison, that is known to be home to a powerful and notorious drug-peddling kingpin Siga. Kendrick, an African man who prophesies about Christianity and Tiger Mani, a ruthless thug, are Siga’s right hands. RJ Balaji plays the role of Parthiban in the film, which stars actor-filmmaker Selvaraghavan as Siga.

Along with RJ Balaji and Selvaraghava, Sorgavaasal features a massive star cast including Karunas, Samuel Abiola Robinson, Hakkim Shah, Natarajan Subramaniam, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf U Dheen, Balaji Sakthivel, Ravi Raghavendra, Santhana Bharathi, Anthonythasan Jesuthasan, and others in supporting roles. Christo Xavier composed the songs and the original score. Prince Anderson is the director of photography. Sorgavaasal is produced by Siddharth Rao and Pallavi Singh, under the banner Think Studios and Swipe Right Studios.
