Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' divorce has been one of the latest hot topics in the tinsel town. The separation has now taken even an ugly turn as the Game Of Thrones star has sued her ex-husband over the custody of their two daughters as she wants the kids to be back to her native place in the UK.

According to a report on Just Jared, in the latest bitter twist in the pair's messy divorce battle, Turner has filed a petition in the US District Court in New York 'for the return of children to England.' Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported that the actress challenged Jonas' claim that stated that their daughters lived in Florida for six months before announcing their split. 

What led to the divorce?

The news portal also reported that the celebrity couple delved into an argument this year in mid-August and around September 1 Jonas filed for divorce without Turner's knowledge as she found out about it later through the media. While filing for the separation, the singer-songwriter unveiled that along with the divorce he also seeks a parenting plan and a timesharing schedule for the parents by the Florida state court. According to English law, the Mother's rights of custody have been breached as Jonas, the father of the children didn't let the children return to the UK to their mother. The final verdict is yet to be out.
