Soori is gearing up for his film release, Garudan, on May 31. The actor, who started out as a comedian, showed his acting prowess when he played the lead role in Viduthalai. Viduthalai is a duology directed by Vetrimaaran. The film stars Soori in his first serious role as protagonist, in which he plays the role of a rookie cop who is enlisted to capture a wanted revolutionary leader played by Vijay Sethupathi. The second part of the film is scheduled to release this year. Soori’s performance won the actor acclaim from the critics upon the film’s release.

Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu - SunNXT

Cast: Vishnu Vishal, Soori, Kishore

Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu is directed by Suseenthiran and proved to be a breakout film for Soori, who shot to fame for his parotta comedy sequence. Also starring Vishnu Vishal, Kishore, Saranya Mohan and others, the film is about an underdog kabaddi team that takes part in a local competition.

Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam – Prime Video

Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam is a 2013 Tamil romantic comedy starring Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj, Sri Divya, Soori and others. The film is one of the early collaborations of Sivakarthikeyan and Soori, known for their comic chemistry. The film was directed by Ponram.

Kullanari Koottam – Disney+ Hotstar

Director: Sri Balaji

Cast: Vishnu Vishal, Soori, Remya Nambeesan

Kullanari Koottam is directed by Sribalaji and revolves around a man who meets and falls in love with a girl after recharging her phone by mistake. After the girl's father demands that he become a police officer for his daughter's hand in marriage, the man decides to join police academy and become one. The film stars Vishnu Vishal, Remya Nambeesan, Soori and others.

Annaatthe – SunNXT

Annaatthe is 2021 Tamil film starring actor Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is directed by Siva and also stars actors Khushbu, Meena, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Soori, Prakash Raj and others. The film revolves around a sarpanch who goes lengths to protect his sister after she elopes with her lover.
