Sonu Sood is one of the actors who has made a mark in the film industry across languages. The actor was recently seen in the Telugu film Acharya, featuring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the lead roles. Sood is gearing up for the release of Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar in the titular role. During a recent group media interaction, the actor was asked the reason behind not doing many Hindi films compared to his South Indian film outings.
Sood stated that whether he is doing Tamil, Telugu, or Hindi films, he has always been picky about his scripts. The actor claimed that the South saves him from having to see awful Hindi movies. Otherwise, one will get to a point where they believe they are making a film merely to be seen in a major film. South assists him in refraining from doing so.
Sood went on to say that he is, however, working on both South Indian and Hindi films. The actor recalls a time when he quit a lot of Hindi films to work on South Indian films that raised some eyebrows. However, it is the experience that counts and it's all about how much pleasure one is having and how much experience they are obtaining while working. The actor is not bothered by it; there must be entertainment, and people should be entertained. One can be the most famous person on the planet, but if they take people for granted and expect them to go out and spend their hard-earned money to see their movie, that time has passed.
Sood concluded by saying that it can happen in any sector, not just Hindi films; if they aren't good, they don't do well, and it has always been that way. People now have more options; if this film isn't up to par, they can see another, better film.
