Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a romantic family drama film, which hit the big screen in 2015. Sonam Kapoor was the female lead opposite Salman Khan in the film. While Salman had a double role, Sonam was seen as Rajkumari Maithili Devi Singh Raghuvanshi. The movie opened to a positive response and became the second-highest-grossing film of 2015. Raanjhanaa

OTT platform: ZEE5

Helmed by Aanand L Rai, Raanjhanaa starred Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush in the lead roles. The actress essayed the role of a Muslim girl Zoya Haider while Dhanush was seen a Tamil Hindu Brahmin boy Kundan Shankar. The story revolves around their characters and sheds light on how Kundan decides to forget his childhood friend Zoya when he learns that she likes someone from her community. However, he goes berserk on learning that Zoya lied to him about her partner's religion.

I Hate Luv Storys

Starring Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan in the lead roles, I Hate Luv Storys was directed by filmmaker Punit Malhotra. The film was a box office hit upon its theatrical release in 2010. The film's music was composed by Vishal-Shekhar. The plot of I Hate Luv Storys was about Simran falling in love with Jay, who struggles with his feelings and is hesitant to convey them.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga

Shelly Chopra Dhar's film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, was a coming-of-age love story between a lesbian couple. As per the official synopsis of the film Sonam Kapoor aka Sweety hides a secret about her true love and decides to marry a writer to please her father. Later, she decides to fight and win for her love. The film was released in cinemas in 2019.

Khoobsurat

OTT platform: Netflix

Shashanka Ghosh's film Khoobsurat featured Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan in the lead roles. The actress was seen as Dr. Mrinalini Rathore, a physiotherapist while Fawad essayed the character of Prince Vikram Singh Rathore. The story of this 2014 film is about Mrinalini, who falls in love with Vikram while he is already engaged to somebody else.
