Newly weds Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal steal the show with a warm hug at Kakuda premiere | Watch

Sonakshi Sinha is all set for the release of her upcoming film - Kakuda. Ahead of the film’s release, makers hosted a special screening in Mumbai which was attended by multiple Bollywood celebrities. However it was the newly wed couple - Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal, who stole the show with their warm gesture.

Sonakshi looked beautiful in a black suit. She kept her hair tied in a bun and completed the look with a pair of cool glasses. When she was busy posing for the cameras at the red carpet, Zaheer Iqbal arrived and as soon as he saw his wife on the carpet, he said, “Arey, meri biwi (Oh, my wife).”

Meanwhile, Sonakshi and Zaheer got married in Mumbai on in the presence of their close friends and family. They registered their marriage under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act.

Sharing the pictures from the ceremony, Sonakshi shared beautiful pictures on social media and captioned it - "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs... leading up to this moment... where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods... we are now man and wife. Here's to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever."

Sonakshi Sinha's film, also starring Riteish Deshmukh, Saqib Saleem, and Aasif Khan is directed by Munya fame director Aditya Sarpotdar and written by Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi. Kakuda will be released exclusively on ZEE5 and you can also watch it on OTTplay Premium with the subscription. The horror-comedy is set to hit streaming on July 12, 2024.
