Son Of Sardaar 2: Here’s when Ajay Devgn’s movie is expected to go on floors

While Ajay Devgn is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, news about his upcoming film, Son Of Sardaar 2 is making headlines too. A recent report suggests that the film has indeed been revived. We also hear about when the film is expected to go on floors. It is reportedly in the pre-production stage at the moment.

Ajay Devgn wanted to take the franchise forward since a decade, a source confirmed to Pinkvilla. Now, the actor-filmmaker has finally found a script and is working on it. He is expected to make an official announcement on the same very soon. We hear that the only similarity between the two films will be the very fact that Ajay plays the role of a devoted sardaar.

When will the film go on floors?

The movie will go on floors much later. It is expected to begin around the time of summer in 2024. The film can go on floors in May. The sequel too is likely to have an ensemble cast. Ajay is expected to start working on the film after Raid 2.

Ajay has as many as 8 films already

The actor has as many as eight movies in his kitty currently. This is apart from Son Of Sardaar 2. He will be seen in Maidaan soon. This will be followed by Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Abhishek Kapoor’s next, Vikas Bahl’s psychological thriller. These are apart from Singham Again, Raid 2, De De Pyaar De 2 and Golmaal 5.

Currently shooting for Singham Again

Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh had recently confirmed that the shooting for Singham Again has started. Ranveer shared his beefed up look but that was the only glimpse people got around the film. Singham Again stars brings ‘Singham’ Ajay, ‘Simmba’ Ranveer and ‘Sooryavanshi’ Akshay Kumar together. The film will see Kareena Kapoor Khan come back in the role of Ajay’s love interest. The movie is currently locked for the release of Independence Day in 2024 i.e. August 15, 2024.
