Sobhita Dhulipala opens up about her 'intimate' engagement with Naga Chaitanya ahead of wedding: 'It was everything I...'

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya left everyone surprised with their engagement news. The couple exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony on August 8 at Chay's home in Hyderabad. A month after her special day, Sobhita opened up about her 'simple and sweet' engagement ceremony. In an interview with Galatta India, the Love, Sitara actress recalled her big day and shared that it was a traditional Telugu affair.

Recalling the precious day of her life, Sobhita shared, "I don’t think I went into the moment with a lot of expectations or dreams, planning…no. I think I was there. It was quite relaxed, simple, sweet, intimate and warm. It was everything I thought it would be."

The actress added that she doesn't feel the need for embellishments when beautiful things happen. "That moment itself fills me," stated Sobhita. The Made In Heaven actress stated that her engagement with Naga Chaitanya was perfectly what it was meant to be.

For those who've come in late, Nagarjuna shared the news about his son Chay Akikinei's engagement to Sobhita. Sharing photos from the ceremony on X, the senior actor wrote, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless (sic)." Take a look at the tweet below:

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sobhita will next be seen in Vandana Kataria's film Love, Sitara. The actress will share screen space with Rajeev Siddhartha, Sonali Kulkarni, and a few others. The movie is scheduled for an OTT release on ZEE5. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription. Earlier this year, Sobihita featured in Dev Patel's Hollywood film, Monkey Man.
