Slumdog Millionaire’s young Latika actress Rubina Ali Qureshi gets hitched to mysterious beau

Erstwhile child actress, Rubina Ali Qureshi got married recently to a mysterious partner, whose identity is yet unknown. The young entrepreneur took to Instagram to post vibrant snippets and videos of her haldi-mehendi ceremony, her nikkah or wedding, and its reception.

For her haldi-mehendi, a fusion of two events in one, where the bride is adorned with mehendi on her hands and feet. For the haldi ceremony, Rubina must have had turmeric paste smothered on her face, arms, and feet by the family members. For these traditional and symbolic ceremonies, Rubina decided to go with the color norm, and opted for a yellow Sharara set with floral jewelry of rose and freesia.

For the wedding itself, the lucky bride went for a stunning ivory lehenga bordered and embroidered with gold. Graced by luxurious kundan jewelry, Rubina wore red choora bangles which contrasted beautifully with the deep-reddish brown of the connubial mehendi. In India, it is superstitiously believed that the deeper the color of the bride’s mehendi, the stronger is the love between the lucky couple.

In her wedding reception, Rubina took no chances and wowed her husband and guests with a ravishing, red lehenga, paired with simple eye makeup and a classy red lip. She also wore heavy red and white jadau jewelry for the event. The entire lehenga was embellished with sewn beads and stones, giving a royal look to the former actress-turned-salon owner.

Though she has not revealed the name of her husband, the change in her surname as well as the caption of one of her haldi photos revealed the addition to her identity of Mrs. Jodiyawala. From videos of her brothers performing to Kedarnath film’s song Sweetheart, at her haldi, to her hubby playing tug of war with his new bride, all the memorable bits are proudly posted on Rubina’s Instagram.
