Sky Force box office opening prediction: January has turned out to be a very busy month for Hindi cinema, as there have been constant releases every Friday and that too, films made on a very good scale. Last week, we saw the release of Kangana Ranaut-led Emergency and Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani’s Azaad, as the two films battled at the box office, but it looks like neither has managed to make any dent at the box office and are riding on a very lukewarm response. Turns out this Friday is going to be about Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, who are all set to bring their ensemble drama Sky Force to the big screen in January, and predictions now say it might just throw cold water on Emergency and Azaad, which are already struggling to make ends meet.
The fans of the stars have been hooked to every update about Sky Force, set to hit the big screen on January 24. The movie, which stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur, will mark Veer’s debut and has created a decent buzz. As per Pinkvilla, the movie might get an opening day collection of ₹9 crore if it manages to stay on track. It is being said that if the film gets a good opening and remains on a good route at the box office, it can see an opening weekend collection of around ₹30 crore.
As it stands, the movie is releasing right next to the Republic Day holiday, which will help it flourish if the word of mouth is good. If this happens, Sky Force will completely overshadow Emergency and Azaad. Considering Emergency has opened to a ₹8.74 crore weekend and Azaad hasn't even touched the ₹5 crore mark, it is a given that if Sky Force works, these two will almost fade from the big screen.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in the lead, Sky Force is an action drama about the Air Force and is directed by Sandeep Kewlani. The trailer of the movie, which released recently, was welcomed with a positive response, and the makers have been making sure to keep the buzz around the film going. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik, and Jyoti Deshpande. Turns out the movie has now gotten a UA 13+ rating from the CBFC, and the runtime is surprisingly short compared to the rest of Akshay's releases.
As per Pinkvilla, Sky Force has passed through the Central Board of Film Certification check and has received a UA 13+ rating, which will be beneficial for the movie. Meanwhile, the movie has been passed with a runtime of 125 minutes, which makes the film 2 hours and 5 minutes long. This could be the shortest Akshay Kumar movie in years. There is no confirmation of this from the makers yet.
Sky Force is set to release on January 24, 2025. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
