Skanda Trailer: Action packed and Boyapati Sreenu showcases Ram Pothineni in a beast mode

After the roaring success of Akhanda, Boyapati Sreenu is now ready with his new film Skanda. He has teamed up with the energetic star, Ram Pothineni for this film which is an action drama with family sentiments. The action drama has been made on a massive budget and as Ram has teamed up with Boyapati Sreenu, there is a solid buzz for the film. Thaman scores the music.

Well, the makers of the film released the trailer at a massive event in Hyderabad on August 26, 2023, and Nandamuri Balakrishna, the star hero, came as the chief guest for the event and launched the trailer. 

As expected from all Boyapati films, he has showcased Ram in the massiest way possible. The star hero looks powerful in his role and mouth mass dialogues like a pro. He will be seen as a Telangana youth in the film and his accent is on point.

Also, the fights composed and the manner in which action is given more importance than the emotions are the takeaways from the trailer. Boyapati Sreenu is known to show over-the-top action which is loved by the masses and the same is showcased here as well. Sreeleela plays the female lead and Saiee Manjrekar is also seen in a crucial role in Skanda. Young hero Prince plays the main villain in this film and some noted Telugu actors will be seen in key roles.

Highlights of the trailer

Thaman’s background score elevates the trailer’s impact, while Santosh Dekate’s cinematography captures the action sequences in a solid manner. There is a stabbing scene at the end of the trailer and it looks surreal and only Boyapati Sreenu can think of something like this. Dialogues like ‘neeku nidrapoye vallani champadam alavatemo, naku nidra lepi champadam alavatu’ elevate Ram’s authority on the film.

Skanda's release and OTT rights details

Zee Studios is presenting this film whereas Srinivasaa Chutturi is the producer of Skanda. The film is all set for a massive release on September 15, 2023, and is Ram Pothineni's biggest release to date. The OTT of the film has not been locked but as per the gossip, Zee 5 is most likely to bag the rights. 

Skanda box office and theatrical rights

The film's opening will be key as the pre-release business has been done on a massive note. The news is that the theatrical rights have been sold for a massive Rs 55 crores. Skanda is Ram's first-ever Pan-India release as the film will be out in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
