SJ Suryah, who was seen in a cameo in Varisu earlier this year, is looking forward to Bommai which is hitting screens this Friday. The movie directed by Radha Mohan has been lying in the cans for sometime. The romantic drama was wrapped up more than three years ago.

The actor-filmmaker, who is on a high with back-to-back notable projects in the last few years, recollected his journey in the industry in a press meet of the movie which was held in Chennai recently. He opened up on what made him one of the producers of the forthcoming film.

In an interview with Vikatan, Suryah spilled the beans on a project which many cinephiles today are not aware of. He opened up about the shelved project he intended to make with Silambarasan a decade-and-a-half ago. Titled AC, Asin was roped in to play the female lead in it.

The makers had organized a photoshoot and a couple of stills from the film were out long ago. Both Silambarasan and Asin looked super stylish in the stills, but the project was dropped owing to reasons best known to the team.

Talking about the same, Suryah said, "It was a missed opportunity. We did the photoshoot and everything fell in place, yet we had to cancel the movie. It was supposed to be a rollicking entertainer."

He also revealed that Silambarasan was supposed to play dual roles in the movie, that of a gangster and a village guy who is into cattle farming. When he was asked if there are any plans to revive the movie, Suryah said he isn't sure and that it depends on destiny.
