The first single from SJ Suryah and Priya Bhavani Shankar's film, Bommai, is out. The single titled Mudhal Muththam is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and was released by none other than the Academy award-winning composer AR Rahman. Taking to his social media page, AR Rahman wrote, "Very Happy to release Mudhal Muththam. My Best Wishes and Love to the team https://youtu.be/z0Mv98gJGw4@thisisysr @iam_SJSuryah @priya_Bshankar @Radhamohan_Dir @madhankarky @IamChandini_12 @Richardmnathan @editoranthony @thinkmusicindia (sic)."
Thanking the composer, SJ Suryah wrote, "Thank you very much @arrahman sir for this everlasting love & it’s a great start of my next round of journey happy got the blessings from the Legend (sic)." The song has been sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Shweta Menon, has lyrics by Madhan Karky and is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It seems like SJ Suryah plays a shopkeeper who falls in love with a mannequin.
This is the second time that SJ Suryah and Priya Bhavani Shankar are teaming up for the film. They had worked together in a film titled Monster (2019), a comedy film written and directed by Nelson Venkatesan. The film was inspired by the 1997 American black comedy film Mouse Hunt and received positive reviews from the critics for SJ Suryah's performance.
SJ Suryah had recently made his debut in web series Vadandhi: The Fable of Velonie, a mystery thriller created and directed by Andrew Louis. The series had its direct release on Amazon Prime Video. The series had SJ Suryah, Laila, Nassar, Sanjana, Smruthi Venkat, Vivek Prasanna, Hareersh Peradi to name a few. SJ Suryah was lauded for his portrayal of the police officer Vivek. He was also seen in Vijay's Varisu in a cameo appearance. SJ Suryah also has in his kitty, Mark Antony, Jigarthanda Double X and RC 15. The shoot for the films are in full swing.
