IMAX  showdown: 'The Marvels' and Salman Khan’s  'Tiger 3' in the spotlight in India

In a headline-making development, it has been confirmed that The Marvels will indeed share IMAX screens in India with Salman Khan's Tiger 3, dispelling recent rumors of exclusion. This strategic decision leverages Marvel's strong association with IMAX and ensures that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film gets the premium screen treatment it deserves. With Tiger 3 scheduled for a Sunday release on November 12, The Marvels is slated to hit theaters on Friday, November 10. To maximize its impact, The Marvels plans a wide release for the first two days, encompassing all languages and formats. Although showtimes may dwindle once Tiger 3 arrives, Disney remains confident that word of mouth and the upcoming holiday season will draw substantial audiences. Meanwhile, Tiger 3 has made a stellar start in advance ticket sales, selling 63,000 tickets in national chains, with expectations of maintaining momentum for its November 12 release.

Netflix's high-flying Heist in 'Lift' takes Off, while Fargo Season 5 Teaser teases intriguing return

Netflix’s exhilarating comedy-thriller, Lift, starring Kevin Hart and directed by F. Gary Gray, is set to take off on January 12, 2024. Hart leads an international heist crew, tasked with snatching $500 million in gold from a mid-air passenger plane, all before it falls into the wrong hands. The ensemble cast includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington, and the heist unfolds at 40,000 feet in the air. F. Gary Gray's direction, combined with Daniel Kunka's script, promises a suspenseful yet comedic thrill ride.

On another front, Fargo Season 5 is set to return on November 21, offering a compelling narrative. The teaser for the Coen brothers films-inspired series  spotlights Ted Lasso star Juno Temple's character, Dorothy "Dot" Lyon, embroiled in a complex struggle involving family protection and danger. With Jon Hamm as Sheriff Roy Tillman, the season's events unfold in 2019 in Minnesota and North Dakota, featuring a robust cast, including Jennifer Jason Leigh, Lamorne Morris, and Richa Moorjani.

Prabhas' 'Salaar' release on track for December amid rumours, avoids clash with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki'

Contrary to rumours suggesting the postponement of the release of Salaar to 2024, new reports indicate that the Prabhas’ highly-anticipated film Salaar is still on track for its cinematic release on December 22. This development comes in the wake of speculations that the film might be rescheduled to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki, which is anticipated to be his third blockbuster of the year. Prabhas, who recently faced two consecutive box office disappointments with Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, had initially set Salaar to release on September 28 but the filmmakers decided to delay it due to unforeseen circumstances. If the current reports hold true, Prabhas may kickstart 2024 with two major film releases, including the highly anticipated sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, featuring a star-studded cast. On the other hand, Khan aims to bring families back to cinemas for Dunki this Christmas, featuring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and more in the ensemble.

Well that's all we got for this episode, until the next one it's your host Nikhil signing out.
