The trailer of the much-awaited multi-starrer flick, Kasada Tabara, directed by Chimbudeven, was released by Sivakarthikeyan on his Twitter account. The Doctor hero expressed happiness for unveiling the trailer and wished the project's entire cast and crew in his tweet. The two-minute trailer begins with a narration on a state minister involved in a police encounter to enforce law and order.

Sampath is seen as a cop who is hell-bent on implementing the encounter while Sundeep Kishan argues against the system to Panchu Subbu. Regina Cassandra, who was last seen in Selvaraghavan's Nenjam Marappathillai in a prominent role, plays Trisha in the film, who struggles to meet both the ends meet. Interestingly, there is a reference to Mankatha in a conversation between the characters played by Venkat Prabhu and Premgi which has already received much attention from Ajith fans.

Venkat's Black Ticket Company and Ravindran's Trident Arts are jointly bankrolling the movie, which also has Harish Kalyan, Shanthnu, Vijayalakshmi, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others playing prominent roles in it. Vijay Sethupathi had recently released the teaser of the film which is all set to release on SonyLIV on August 27. Kasada Tabara, which has six editors, six composers and six cinematographers working for it, deals with the themes butterfly effect and vantage point theory. The project which is billed as a hyperlink film comprises of six stories which delineate how fate plays spoilsport in the lives of the haves and the have-nots.

Sangili Murugan, Jayaprakash, Sendrayan and producer-turned-actor T Siva are a few others who appear in the trailer of the movie, which comes up with tagline 'Tales of South Madras'. Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is a regular in Venkat Prabhu's films, is one of the composers of the project. Premgi, who has composed for the director's long-delayed movie, Party, is another music director of Kasada Tabara.
