Kamal Haasan had announced a few months ago that his production company Raaj Kamal Films International will bankroll a project along with Sony Pictures Films India which will have Sivakarthikeyan playing the lead in it. Rangoon fame Rajkumar Periyasamy was brought on board to helm the big budget film.

Tentatively titled SK 21, the makers kept every detail of the project under wraps. A couple of days ago, on Sai Pallavi's birthday, Raaj Kamal Films informed that the actress has been roped in to play the female lead in the movie.

An elated Pallavi had taken to social media to express excitement over meeting Kamal Haasan and acting in a project which will be produced by him. She was also elated about joining hands with Rajkumar as the duo knew each other from a long time. Later, Sivakarthikeyan welcomed her by saying that he is happy to work with a super-talented actor.

In her reply, Pallavi said that she is glad to be associating with someone who is as hardworking and dedicated as Siva, and wished success for his forthcoming movie Don. She tweeted, "Thank you! I’m elated to be working with someone as hard working and dedicated as you are. And My best wishes to you & the team for Don (sic)."

This is the first time Siva and Sai Pallavi are teaming up for a movie. The former, who was last seen in Doctor (streaming on Netflix), has Don, Ayalaan and SK 20 in his kitty.

The latter, whose previous outing was Shyam Singha Roy (streaming on Netflix), will next be seen in Tollywood film Virata Parvam and trilingual flick Gargi. Mutual fans of Siva and Pallavi are now looking forward to the next update from the team of SK 21.
