Sivakarthikeyan, Arun Vijay's Twitter banter on Arnav's birthday puts an end to their alleged rift

The sarcastic tweet Arun Vijay posted after the trailer of Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Seemaraja released a few years ago had created quite a stir on social media then. The former said that his Twitter account was hacked and that he had no intentions to underestimate the latter.

Though Siva didn't respond directly to the alleged indirect troll, a dialogue in his film, Mr Local, took a pot shot at the tweet Arun had posted. The conversation between the characters played by Siva and Sathish in the movie reminded Tamil film lovers of the incident again, though the issue was gradually forgotten.

Today, Arun took to Twitter to inform that it is his son Arnav's birthday and that the latter needs wishes from everyone. The young boy had made his acting debut with Amazon Prime Video's Oh My Dog which recently dropped on the digital platform. Many celebs from the industry wished him success.

Sivakarthikeyan's birthday wish came as a surprise to many. He tweeted, "Happy birthday Thambi. Enjoyed your performance in Oh my dog.. Keep going, best wishes for your studies and acting career (sic)." Twitterati appreciated the Doctor star for his egoless behaviour.

Many were eagerly looking forward to seeing Arun Vijay's reply to the tweet. He thanked Siva profusely and was all praise for his kind-heartedness. He tweeted, "Thanks a lot for the wishes brother!! Really kind of you to wish Arnav.. will surely pass it on to him (sic)."

On the film front, Siva has Cibi Chakaravarthi's comic caper Don releasing in theatres this Friday. Ravikumar's sci-fi flick Ayalaan is another movie of his which is expected to hit the screens this year. Arun Vijay has Hari's action flick Yaanai coming up in theatres on June 17.
