Sivakarthikeyan-AR Murugadoss film SK 23 eyeing Diwali 2024 release? Here's an update...

Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently working in Amaran, will be next joining forces with director AR Murugadoss. While the production for the film is currently underway, reports suggest that the makers are eyeing a Diwali festival release in 2024. However, the makers have yet to confirm the release window.

SK 23 for Diwali?

Actor Sivakarthikeyan is currently working with filmmaker Rajkumar Periyasamy in Amaran. While the action-packed film will see the actor play the role of the late real-life hero Mukund Varadarajan, who was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment, he will next work with Murugadoss for SK 23.

Though not much about the film has been revealed yet, reports suggest that the makers are eyeing a Diwali 2024 release. It is to be noted that though there are chances for SK 23 to come for Diwali, the rumour has to be taken with a pinch of salt since Amaran has yet to get a release date. However, with AR Murugadoss set to team up with Salman Khan, there are also chances that the filmmaker wants to wrap up SK 23 soon.

SK 23 has Rukmini Vasanth playing the female lead, with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music for the film. The film is expected to be a mass entertainer. The film went on floors in February. Although not much is known about the film, Sivakarthikeyan had earlier said that the film would give him more scope to perform.

AR Murugadoss to direct Salman Khan

AR Murugadoss will be teaming up with Hindi superstar Salman Khan for a film, which will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The makers announced the project on Tuesday. Expected to be released for Eid 2025, Murugadoss made his Hindi debut in the remake of his Tamil film Ghajini. His last Hindi outing was the 2016 film Akira, the remake of the Tamil film Mouna Guru. It is expected that the filmmaker will wrap up SK 23 before moving on to his project with Salman Khan.
