Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar's Maveeran shoot begins

The shoot for Sivakarthikeyan's next with the National Award-winning director Madonne Ashwin's Maveeran has begun. The shoot kickstarted on August 4 after the customary pooja, for which entire cast and crew were present. The film marks the second project for Aditi Shankar, who is all set to make her debut with the rural entertainer Viruman. Aditi is the daughter of ace director Shankar, who was also present at the launch event. Maveeran is a bilingual and is titled Mahaveerudu in Telugu.

The production house took to Twitter to share a series of pictures and captioned it, "#Maaveeran / #Mahaveerudu shoot began yesterday. Thank you @shankarshanmugh for gracing us with your presence!” Watch the post here!"

Aditi had announced that she was excited to be part of the project along with Sivakarthikeyan and Madonne Ashwin. She had written on her social media page."Super excited and honoured to announce my next #Maaveeran with the sensational @Siva_Kartikeyan sir🔥award winning director @madonneashwin 💯produced by the enthusiastic @iamarunviswa sir @ShanthiTalkies & the whole team @vidhu_ayyanna @bharathsankar12 @philoedit @DoneChannel1 (sic)."

She had also expressed her happiness on her father being part of the pooja ceremony. Aditi had tweeted, "Thank you @madonneashwin sir and @iamarunviswa sir for having me onboard💯 @Siva_Kartikeyan sirrrr can’t wait to start shooting alongside you🔥🧿 So happy that Appa was by my side on this special day ♥️ #Maaveeran (sic)."

Maveeran also features director Mysskin playing a negative role and has Yogi Babu and Saritha as part of the star cast. Music for the film is by Bharath Shankar. In the meantime, Sivakarthikeyan is awaiting the release of his next film, Prince, directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame. The film stars Ukraine model and actress Maria Ryaboshapka and is all set to release for Diwali. The film also stars Sathyaraj and is said to be a romantic comedy
